Hello all,
I'm a 28 yo Technical Manager in the entertainment industry - currently working for a large production/rental company supplying Audio, Lighting and Video system for events all over the world.
I manage the technical side of our Lighting department, heading up a warehouse team of 6 guys that look after our stock of around 450 moving lights, 20 control consoles, miles and miles of cable etc. I'm a former 'roadie', having toured with several bands as a 'lampy' (Lighting Designer, to be exact).
After starting to look after maintenance/quality of our power distribution equipment I've developed a desire to formally train as a spark, both for knowledge and to further our BS7909 compliance.
I'll mostly be asking random questions in regards to electrical theory, however if anyone wants to know anything specific to live entertainment technology then I'd be one to ask...
