Replaced a perfectly good plastic  10 way   dual RCD board  the other week    with a 1/4"   welded steel plate version  .  Old one sits in the EE  storage facility  ...and will never be used  .   We fitted it about 3 years ago I think  , now  obsolete.

Board and service had to be moved  ready for some extensive alterations ,  8  week loft conversion by others......I had to leave them four spare ways,  so their spark would have raised the issue anyway .

Worth a try .    Not good for commercial ,  not really made for conduit entry.
