My church has taken delivery of a 4.4kW commercial dish washer.  They are assuming it can be powered from the ring final circuit in the kitchen or from the boiler circuit.

Am I correct in saying that this is "not on".  Should it not be wired back to the Dist Board?

boiler circuit is probably 6-16a. less than he 4.4kw dish washer...

ring finals are designed for distribued load, not slapping a rotary isolator somewhere in it to feed a 4.4kw appliance. also the notes in appendix 15 recommend fixed loads over 2kw be on their own circuit

going to need its own circuit

Bog standard rule of thumb 13A 3-bar 3kW electric fire plugged in via standard 3-pin plug.....

Is pretty much as big as you want to go plugged into a ring final..

Greater than 3k..  needs dedicated circuit.
