economy 7 consumer unit

Question

hello chaps,

I have to change a economy 7 consumer unit, now i take it that its a normal one, not some speical type.

if you could confirm for me.

same as you would normally use. or you can get dual tarrif CU's if you want to keep everything in one unit

Depends what you have!

What is there now? I have ecomemy 7 and 2 seperate consumer units (so the night storage heaters come on only at night). What you need depends on what you already have!

Andy said in the 2nd post that dual tariff CU's are available. The board has to conform to the 17th ed reguards RCDs etc so split load is 1 option, RCBOs another.

My storage heaters are on their own DB with 5 20A breakers.

As regards to bondongs etc, is it ok to have all bondings on normal cu then link MET together?

yes and yes. MET's must be linked or you risk different earth potnetials
