Turned off Storage heaters on night rate question.

Just to help me understand fully at the meter there are two lives coming out and one neutral that goes to a henley box and then split into two. I presume one L + N goes to the storage heater CU  and the other L + N goes to the other CU feeding the rest of the flat. So does that mean the storage...

Hi So I have a day/night meter (Economy 7) The night side is only connected to the storage heaters (Split/separate CU with one main 100A isolator and 2 16 MCBs for the 2 storage heaters) Because I don't use the storage heaters I have them switched off at the wall and also the MCBs are off as...

Thanks everyone for the replies. Not sure who installed it but does seem to be lack of airflow. Will talk to the landlord about it.

Fan Heater Keeps Turning Off After About 30 Sec.

I have a heater (Dimplex FX20V) installed in my bathroom which only seems to go on for about 30-40 sec and then cut's out. It's connected to a MRT-16-PC timer. The timer is set to max and dip switch set to 15-1hr  Is it a problem with the timer or the heater itself ? some photos

8 on one 3 on the other.

The house a two up two down stone cottage over 100 years old, with a lean to in the last maybe 50 years. Looks like they have just extended the ring main to cover the kitchen and laundry. so I guess it would of been cheaper to extend the ring main rather than run new wires back to the CU.??

8 on one 3 on the other.

Why do I have 8 lights on one circuit and only 3 on the other. The 3 are Living room, dining room and downstairs hallway. Would it be better to have them spread more evenly across. Also discovered that the whole house is on one ring and the other thing is that our boiler (oil fuelled) is on that...

    New cooker install question.

The cooker did not come with any cable. The main question I am asking is. Must I install a terminal outlet box when I am only changing the appliance over to a new one ? And what is the purpose of said box ? I can understand having it if your cooker comes with it's own cable, but if it doesn't...

    New cooker install question.

We had a new cooker delivered the other day to replace an old one, but they would not wire it up for us because we did not have a terminal outlet box behind the oven. It seems the cable runs up behind the kitchen units into the control unit switch and then off to the CU. (can't see behind...
