Hi all,

Is it possible to connect a 3-phase, 3-wire Solar Inverter (400Vp-p) to LV 400V (4-wire) grid?

Any issue regs this connection?

Any problem with RCD?

Thanks.

If the inverter is just 3 wire it needs just the 3 phase connections.

4 wire 3 phase has a neutral as well.  If the inverter has no neutral, then just connect the 3 phases.

Thanks for the quick response.

The inverter is a 3 phase 3 wire without a neutral.

Could this affect any RCD installed in the circuit?

The inverter is a large scale 600kW. could it be connected to the LV (400V) grid or should be to the 11kV?

11KV RCD... must be fun doing trip times on that...

i hope you disconnect the load before testing it

and you missed a 'p' from the end of your name...

11KV PV inversion - THAT must have a fair sized local isolator........ ;)
just use a normal isolator. surely if it can handle 400v it can manage a little more

but best wrap some extra insulation tape around the wires for a bit extra insulation, and to cover the damaged sheath
