Hi everyone,
Am hoping someone can help.
I have a new Solax X1 PV 3kwh system. I believe its the Boost model. Although am not 100% sure on that one. As cant seem to see it on any of the paperwork or inverter, which I can understand isn't probably very helpful. I got the system through a grant scheme due to my disability.
But my issue is with the CT clamp and the data its showing. The installer didn't fit the CT clamp, however the kit did come with one and he left it behind. He said I didnt need it fitting due to not having batteries. However I wanted it fitted so as I could see all the correct data through the app ie how much pv producing and how much importing and exporting from the grid and my usage.
The clamp had now been fitted, I believe from what I've read in all the manuals and online that its fitted to the correct wire and with the arrow in the correct direction. Its clamped to the live wire that comes directly from the main house smart meter to the consumer unit, with the arrow on the CT clamp pointing towards the meter and away from the CU. Ive also tried relocating the clamp to the positive wire Before the meter with the same results. However the data its showing in the app seems to be completely wrong. It seems to be showing my actual Usage under the Feed in section and then adding it to the PV production and showing both together under the Load/Generator section.
Also the graphs seem to be completely wrong and dont make any sense.
Has anyone got any ideas on what's going wrong? Any help really would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks

I should note that my load definitely isn't what the data on the app is showing. As my smart meter shows that I'm drawing nothing from the grid. Whereas the Solax app is telling me I am as you can see from the pictures.

turn the CT clamp around and see what happens then.
Tried that. Have literally tried every positive wire with the ct clamp in both directions, but no matter which way I try it, the figures it shows in the app dont correspond at all with whats actually happening with the power and inverter.

Check in settings that the meter is correctly set, ie CT or Modbus, also that the meter is enabled in settings. Check wiring to CT.

I know that CT is enabled. But it doesn't allow to have both Meter and CT enabled. I am suspecting it is something in the settings that causing the issue, but I'm nervous about making changes because I don't want to mess the system up. I'm hoping someone might be able to advise me on what to try, as seems solax support or even finding information online is pretty hopeless.

I did consider the CT wiring, and even tried swapping the wires around, but still got mostly same results that made no sense. It just doesn't seem to be differentiating between load and feed in.

Sorry for the slow reply.
The CT clamp as can see in pics is connected to the positive line that returns from the Smart energy meter back to the CU. With the arrow on the clamp pointing back towards the meter. Ive also tried it on the line before the meter. As well as the line between the meter and connection block. Doesnt seem to make a difference where I put it. I get the same messed up results

It's not clear where all of the cables run without a full overview and possibly some annotation. The CT Clamp would work correctly here:-

Hi, yes sorry. I should've added some direction.
However, I have already tried the clamp on that cable in that exact location. As I said, I've tried it on all the live cables and in multiple positions, as well as trying it with the arrow pointing away and towards the incoming power.

Hope this helps

Hi apologies I may have got wrong end of the stick but you mentioned batteries in your post? I have a ct clamp that sends info via a small sender unit which needs batteries. Has that been ruled out?

Hi. Yes, I mentioned that I dont have storage batteries, but required the CT clamp so as I could keep track of solar generation and grid import/export.
I'm not aware of any additional sender unit being needed though, and can't see anything on any of the Solax information saying that one is needed. Its supposed to be a very simple RJ45 connector on the CT clamp cable plugged straight into the COM port on the inverter.
