Had a call from a customer who had just had his shower room renovated. A "spark" who was a friend of chaps son had done the electrical work. A new shower had replaced an existing one but moved and a new isolator fitted with a switch outside the door instead of a ceiling pullcord. Original shower...
I've been rewiring a ground floor flat which is a toal refurb with gas central heating going in. Standard set up 10mm bonding to incoming gas and water.
Had phone call from customer in a panic. According to the "Heating Engineer" I had used 6mm to bond the gas. I told the customer I had used...
Thats what Elecsa said to do. Sleeve it to keep in line with latest regs for cable colours and sticker it because there will be a mix of both types of cable.

The local parish magazine is often a good way of advertising yourself locally. Had an emergency callout this morning out of an ad which has led to a partial rewire job at the property.
It seems fair game around my little corner of Wales for some sparks to rip off customers which gives the trade a bad name.
I was asked by an elderley couple recently moved to the area to replace a storage heater for a towel rail in the bathroom. I asked if there was any paper work on the...
