Red And Black Cable On New Rewire?

Thats what Elecsa said to do. Sleeve it to keep in line with latest regs for cable colours and sticker it because there will be a mix of both types of cable.

Red And Black Cable On New Rewire?

Spoke to Elecsa technical helpline today and they said as long as the red and black is sleeved brown/blue and a dual colours warning label is placed on the CU then it is ok.

Red And Black Cable On New Rewire?

Ok so thats two different opinions. I don't see it as being any different to sleeving 3 core but I will check what my scheme provider Elecsa says about it.

Red And Black Cable On New Rewire?

I went to quote for a rewire today and the client asked if I could use some reels of cable they had. I had a look and it was Tower branded 2.5mm T&E new reels but in old colours. Apart from suggesting they flog it on ebay can it be used if I make sure I sleeve it in brown and blue?

    Where's all the work gone?

The local parish magazine is often a good way of advertising yourself locally. Had an emergency callout this morning out of an ad which has led to a partial rewire job at the property.

    Sparks ripping off customers

It seems fair game around my little corner of Wales for some sparks to rip off customers which gives the trade a bad name. I was asked by an elderley couple recently moved to the area to replace a storage heater for a towel rail in the bathroom. I asked if there was any paper work on the...

Does anyone know where I can get the full range of orbix screws from?. I can find the self drill metal type but I'm looking for the wood screws as well. I contacted Orbix and they told me CEF and Edmundsons stock them but my nearest branches don't. If there is somewhere online as the last place...
