When selecting cable size for a new circuit, how close do you let the cables CCC get to the rating of the fuse protecting it before moving up to the next CSA?

Thanks fellas. The setup at the minute is 1 main 3ph DB fed from the tails with 100 amp service fuses.

Is it most prefered when installing a sub main in a commercial premises to come of the main DB with say a 63 amp MCB or split tails and use a 63 amp switch fuse. Can discrimination be a problem if using an MCB?
