Client has 16th edition board with 1 RCD and wants 2 RCD's

Gonna get a split load kit and RCD as board is ok.

Can I issue a MWC or do I have to do a full EIC?

I doubt there will be enough boxes for all of the circuits that now have RCD protection on them?

Unless your new RCD is only going to protect 1 circuit of course?

Spose it may be feasible to argue multiple MWC's one for each modified circuit..

What do you think?

Personally I think ANYTHING involving direct work/alteration/addition/modification to a CU necessitates a full EIC..

and most probably notification to LABC! ;) :D

EIC and why not replace the MCB's on the non RCD side of the board with RCBO's? It would save space and time.Andy
+1. A forum sponsor does cheap rcbos for about 12 quid each I think. See if they will fit your board. What board is it mate

Do the Proelec fit without having to tweak the busbar?
I've never directly tried a Pro elec rcbo. But I have fitted Wylex mcb's into a pro-elec CU and fitted pro-elec mcb's in a wylex board.

So if pro-elec mcb's fit, you I would expect the rcbo's to also fit.
