Adding a socket for a Ring cam

Thanks a lot Phoenix. That all makes sense I will check the RCD but pretty sure this is fused and the socket will be out the way just for this cam. I guess I am going to need 2x 3 way Wagos for each connection so I can add the 2 existing connections plus the new spur plus the pig tail and then...

Power to outdoor sockets cutting out over night no fuse trip?

Yes there is power to the chiller ie the LCD display is on but the pump has stopped. If I press go on the pump it starts up again fine. It is exactly what happens if you turn the power off at the socket (without first powering the unit off) and then back on again at the socket

Hi All I have a chiller for my cold plunge plugged in to an outdoor socket. I keep coming out on the morning to find the chiller on but not pumping. I have run it from another outdoor socket on a different circuit and it works fine so my theory is there is nothing wrong with the chiller but the...

    Led bulb lights then blows

Hi John Just to come back on this as there has been a delay whilst I ordered a new bulb (@£25 a go!). Your solution worked in moving the switch ahead of the transformer. Thank you very much for your help as I would not have worked that out myself and would have spent a fortune on bulbs trying to...

    Led bulb lights then blows

Thanks guys useful suggestions. Just waiting on a new bulb then will try with the switch before the transformer to start off with. If that doesn’t work will go with the remote option. Thought this was going to be a simple switch install!

Hi  I want to replace the existing halogen spot downlights in a bedroom with fire rated LED downlights. Seems reasonably straightforward as all wiring there so assume all I need to do is take old fitting out and transformer to get back to terminal block in ceiling and then connect new led down...
