i have got the 45A cooker switch and socket on the wall which feeds down to the cooker connection box under the unit the person who wants some work doing in his kitchen wants a double socket were the connection unit is.is it possible to fuse the connection unit down with a fuse spur then fit a double socket off the fuse spur ?

never come accross this before the person who want`s it done says he done it on his mother in laws house.

If its to REPLACE the cooker outlet with a double socket then no problem. have done it many times where no longer requirement for 32 Amp cooker supply. Can be useful to supply 2.3 Kwatt Oven and a Gas hob which requires 3 Amp fused Plug for ignition only.
