Happy New Year everybody!

It's nice to be back.

I haven't got my brain in gear yet and have yet to read the holiday threads to see if I can answer any questions HA HA HA :^O . Here's my maiden 2009 brainless question: seeing as singles cost more than T&E, can I not just strip down spare T&E to make singles?

Good night,

TTbb

ooo, new symbol! ohms

I believe that the singles have a different type of insulation

could be wrong tho

yes they have different insulation .. due to the extra heat in conduit. i am guessing.

they are bendy/pliable ie less likely to snag when pulling through counduit and the like

The insulation is the same, unless you get LSF or Tri-rated, but singles are stranded conductors and therefore easier to manipulate
