Got called out to a house today and the upstairs light didn't work.

The customer told me that they didn't work for 2 weeks after the loft insulation was installed (why he didn't say before they left but then it was in the daytime).

Upon further investigations 3 out of the 6 connections had been ripped out of the pendants (clumsy feet)

Besides this today's gripe is this.

Why to we have to follow hundreds of regs then install the work and then guys on price work (not their fault) throw 12 inches of loft insulation over your carefully clipped and specified cables for the job, then do one?

Lucky there was no down lighters in there

Rant over

;)

The problem lies with the fact we all have our own regs and they don't overlap! You would have thought mr insulation would get together with mr 7671 and discuss the small issue and write it into their regs.
