I've got a client who specifically wants these lights however as there are habitable rooms above so they need to be firerated, any ideas as I don't think any decent led gu10 (ie one that actually produces a good amount of light) will fit in a firerated downlight??

I've not fitted hoods before, can they be fitted from below? As there is no access from above but they are replacing the ceiling so it will albe done from below.

Does a hood keep the rating of the ceiling like a downlight (to meet regs) ??

Ive done some recently, but they were bought as matching set, and, yes, the lamps were bigger than a standard GU10 so I would say they probably wouldnt fit in a standard fitting.
