Room thermostat

A customer wants me to fit one of these .

never fitted one ,so any pointers welcome.

Are you getting the item, or has the customer already purchased it? There is an instruction sheet in the box with the terminal designations, Its just a temperature controlled switch, With live in, switched live out plus a neutral to work the indicator lamp and a small internal heating resistor to stop the thermostat from fluctuating with small temp changes in the room. Is this a replacement for an existing thermostat or have you got to to install new control wiring back to the boiler control wiring box?

Permanent live - terminal 1,

Switched live - terminal 3,

Neutral - terminal 2,

Earth is clearly marked.

it is fitted to a vaillant turbomax plus 824e and I have no manual with it so any help is greatly appreciated, it is an addition to the boiler.
