Is it a dimmer switch? trick question? :C

Here`s the "trick" bit of the question:

Is the O/P EVER going to attempt to answer summat; we`ve told him to (at least) TRY to answer gawd-knows-how-many-times.........but he doesn`t listen to us.....

The current to a tungsten-fileament lamp at the moment of switch on is = to the square root of the current on the hypotenuse!

Actually it may be higher if its a metal faceplate... cuz they are more conductive!

NO! it IS a trick question cuz they don't tell you which room this light switch is in!
