What do you class as heavy on the fuel? The ex british gas ones are well specced, even get air con in them. Only downside is the crap blue colour.
Ah, but any colour is surely better than white?

:D

I used to have an escort van and now have a Ducato. I can honestly say that whatever you have you will fill and could always use more space. Take a test drive and see if you like it first

Out of curiosity, I have just had a look at an internet auction Site.

Found Fiat Ducanto, went on a Comparison webiste, and did a quote out of curiosity.

Frigging Heck.

I also tried to see what the differnce in price was if I kept it in a garage... !st one, remained the same. The second Came down slightly.Did the same again on a "Vehicle fitted with a tracking device". The first, remained the same. The second went UP !!! to

i would say you cant go wrong with the connect, have driven all the french vans and they are rubbish compared to the ford. had a transit for a year and loved it. Now have a renault kangoo and loathe it! bad back, poor handling and build quality,go for the connect every time. However if u can afford a bit more the caddy is the 1! :)

That would be one big garage for a Ducato.

Had an old style caddy and felt crippled after driving for any long journeys. I supposed they must have refined the driving position and cabs by now though

Yeah the missus has got a caddy and i would get 1 if i had the choice but unfortunately i have a company van. The old caddys were based on a polo but the new ones are based on a sharan. much bigger cab. Hers has done 140000 miles and drives better than my kangoo that has done 40000!

I was in the same position, thinking of getting the Transit Connect but found they were expensive. In the end got a peugeot expert. Seems a good van. More room than a connect, good to drive, reasonable on fuel well happy with it. Also has 2 year (20 000 mile) service interval
