Hey,

Im after a volt stick and socket tester. Which would you recommend? Dont really want to spend mega bucks on them either :)

Cheers

ive got a fluke pen type tester voltage pen, and i have 2 socket testers that light up with different meanins, but im not sure what the make of those are, they are red and clear backed though, hope that helps,

i got kewtech stick from screwfix, they can be a bit temprimental,

they sell cheap socket tester aswell which i use as a quick check for polarity or missing conections. but another spark mocked me for my choice and said it should have a buzzer on as well

I've got 2 socket testers,,

one with just LEDs and the other with LEDs and buzzer.. I use the buzzer one all the time, you can plug it in and easily tell when you've found the right MCB!!

Unfortunately they cannot tell you if you have the N & E swapped... :( :(

I use the voltstick from fluke, I have the fluke socket tester with leakage and rcd test, and I have the kewteck socket tester just like the one above.

Then like all I have my finger, normally wetted for exra effect.
