What size trip should have been fitted?

Hi, 4kw solar system, 5.8kw solax inverter coupled to 1 x 5.8kw battery. Fitted October 2023 10mm cable from inverter to consumer unit.

Currently have wylex NHXS1B40 Fitted which has been fine until we have rain then trips. I have been on roof and all connectors seem ok. if you isolate panels its fine. Can anyone confirm which RCD should be fitted and link to buy the correct one if not.

If it only trips when it rains, suggests the problem is moisture ingress is tripping the RCBO.

Best to call the installers back as its less than 6 months since installation

hehe good point, as a newbie I'll bear this in mind if ever I get problems down the line

If fitted properly they can be immersed in a puddle to a depth of 1m. However, many installers seem to lack MC4 spanners needed to do them up properly, or overtigten and cross thread them. Some factory fitted connectors aren't always great, and a favourite of any seal leaking is getting dirt on them.

To be fair, if fitted incorrectly they can be immersed in a puddle. It will knacker them, but they can be immersed
