if its from the firm you are subbing to then you should probably have included it in your price.

If they are legitimate expenses ,like hotel bills, I think you'd have to present a copy of the bill M8 . There are no levels set anywhere .

Depends upon the terms and conditions you where taken on as a subby, this should have been included when you negotiated your rates etc.

you either get the expenses (if agreed they will pay you them/some) taxed or tax free.

if you keep the receipt and use it to claim it as an expense with your books then the company paying you taxes you on the payment

if you give the receipt to the company then they should pay you gross

that is of course unless you have a gross payment certificate
