Hi. Because my customer works away some days, he has asked me if I could install a timer/programmer into the E7 immersion heater circuit, so that he can program it to come on somedays but not others.

Would there be a problem taking the feed for the timer from the booster circuit to turn the E7 circuiit on and off?

Also, if it is do-able, can you recommend a timer to fit?

Thanks

Horstmann Centaur range - think you`d need the C17; plus a contactor to control the load - its prob. the way I`d do it.

Don`t take the timer supply from the boost - the timer wants a permanent supply. Just use the contactor to interrupt the immersion circuit.....

(or you could fit a 7 day immersion timer?????)

7 Day Immersion Heater Timer

or

7 Day Electronic Immersion Heater Timeswitch

I think he meant that he would take the supply from the boost supply, which is a permanent live.

Yes Theory E7 is already there.

Dark inferno is correct, I'm sorry I didn't explain properly. The Boost supply is just a DP switch, to switch on a second heater if needed, so that has got a permenant supplyto it.

KME. The Timeguard ETU8000 looks like it could be the job.

Thanks for the replies.
