Hi folks,
Long time reader, first time poster!
As the title says, our 2 year old Hotpoint dryer is kind of just a Point dryer now as it no longer gets hot. I've had a man out but we got nowhere as all of a sudden it got hot again, but the error has returned and the man has disappeared! Ha.
I've got stuck into myself and checked the thermostats, which both show continuity. The heater module also shows continuity, as far as I can tell with my multimeter anyway (might be doing the test wrong?). As that all checked out and I couldn't get any data for the thermistor, I ordered a replacement but haven't fitted it as the test results on the new one are the same as the one installed.
Does anyone have any tips/advice before we bite the bullet and have the manufacturer come out?
