I have replaced conventional bulbs on 2 circuits with LEDS, and have also replaced the 2-gang dimmer switch to one that is suitable for use with LEDs; this switch is rated 5W to 150W.
One circuit now has 5 x 5W 240V LEDs (candle units), and works perfectly.
The second circuit has 6 x 3W 12V LEDs (MR16 bulbs); when the dimmer switch is switched on, the LEDs flash once . . . and then nothing !
Is this :-
- A compatibility issue between the MR16 LEDs and the dimmer switch ?
- An issue with the 12V supply and the dimmer switch ?
Something else ?
