Generator Books, websites

Hi all,

Looking to broaden my horizons and interested in learning some more about generators broadly.  Anyone any suggestions of good books they've read or websites that give info on generators? I know i can find loads on google but just in case there were any suggestions!

For what I want now it’s too deep and too expensive.

What is it you want to know? Basic operating principals, or more?

if he wants to write the book and send me a draft??.... could maybe stretch to a coffee (real obviously) and maybe a cake....

I guess basic principles to start with, but wouldnt need to go too deep into the theory.  Ideally a book that was written by an electrician would be helpful.  I don't work with motors at all so anything I did learn in the past is long gone now!

Motors I’ve covered the basics in TEF’s Knowledgebase, motor types and starters, etc. Again it is one of those subjects that is never ending.

I’m happier with DC generators than with AC alternators, mainly because I’ve worked on them and I’ve hit them with a sledgehammer to get them going.
