3 core tinned copper, no earth, (red, blue & white) flat PVC cable???

Just been to look at a job to replace a CU and saw this OLD cable:_| :_|

They was after a price, but all I gave them a price for was a PIR

Late 1950,s I think ,Nicko, its the phase colours before White became Yellow. Earth wires were often run as a bare seperate conductor.

I figured it must be OOOOOLLLDDDD, although no "Green Goo" in the few accessories that I took off!!

I think they are in need of a rewire!!

It's PVC,,, you never know it might all test out OK,,, but the lighting definitely has no earth!!

I would agree with posters on this its pre 1960, although some where done up to 1968 I think, its when the main changes or phased out cables where used up.
