PAT Tester

Hello,

Can anyone out there recommend a reasonable PAT testing piece of equipment? I'm looking to buy one as I'm off on a course to do my 2377 soon and I'd like to take my own equipment with me.

I'd like something that did all the necessary tests and ease of use, longevity and compliance and are more important than if it is cheap or not. I don't want to end up buying something else at a later date if the one I get turns out not to do all the jobs I need it to do.

Thoughts anyone? I use a Fluke multifuntion tester so I know I get on with that particular brand if that makes a difference.

I use the Robin/Fluke Smartpat 5500, but then I am a fluke freak.

You could try talking to other firms in your area to see what they use.

I was talking to a workmate today, who uses one of these as he has minimal pat testing to do, so didnt want to shell out loads of money
