Rolec EV charger timer problem

I have Rolec EV charger which I know isn't the greatest, but I got it years ago when I got the car. The breaker has already burned out once and I see that was a common fault. I have never used the Timer function as e just plugged it in when required but know I have some batteries and Octopus Go it would make lots of sense to use the timer but I don't seem to be able to get it to work and can't find any instructions - its a NLCUT3A and have tried the on position but the dial doesn't turn so I'm assuming something is wrong. Does anybody know anything about them

Have set the code n/off times?
Possibly need to rotate dial to correct current time, set on/off times and switch to to Position.

yes that's what I've tried but dial doesn't continue to operate
