Power Supply - 3 Phase 400V

As per BS 7671, is it acceptable to use 4 cores (Br Bl Gy & Yellow) 300/500V cable be used for 3-phase motors?

What is the recommended voltage rating of power cables for three-phase motors?

Thanking you in advance.

First you need to understand 300/500v. As above is this a college question.

Star-connected motor. Brown/Black/Grey & Yellow/Green - Casing.

Completely under what is 300/500V i.e. permissible nominal voltage of a cable, specified in volts. 300V is the maximum permissible effective value between the conductor and protective conductor whereby 500V is the maximum permissible effective value between the phase conductors. Usually, 600/1000V is used but I would like to know if it is a usual practice to use 300/500V and whether it is permissible. Thanks
