ive drilled through a gas pipe.... pipe was somewhere it shouldnt have been, so first i knew was the gas coming from hole.... new build house which had just been decorated too....

drilling through a gas pipe isnt that bad. unless its a large pipe in the street, in which case, RUN!!

Before the days where you could not smoke on site, I remember drilling through a floor and right into a gas pipe with a lit cigerette in my mouth.

My apprentice ran for cover, I just took another drag on my fag and shouted for the plumber.

deffo gas pipe - but as an aside surely it requires an earth as it can introduce earth potential

I put a couple of Rods in... but i did trow a 10mm onto it any way! just because it was below the C/U.
