Hi all I have just installed two way lighting but when i switch on the power the mcb trips trips straight away. i have carried out insulation resistance test and they all came back fine r1 r2 all fine the fault is only on the strapper. any ideasbad day explode

Did you do the IR test with the switches in both 'on' positions?

Have you checked the obvious - are the neutrals on the right RCD?

No doubt someone else will be along soon to offer loads of good advice.

Do you mean the MCB or RCD is tripping? If it is the MCB you have wired directly across live & neutral with your switch arrangement. Did you do IR tests between L & N or just (L+N) to E. Could be you have the ends of your two-way switching on the wrong terminals at the ceiling rose, (if there is one).
