After having my old tester for around 7 years I’ve treated myself to a new Fluke 1664fc. This is the first fluke multifunction tester I have had (got some fluke multimeters but never a multifunction tester). Anyway anyone got any tips or advice with the 1664, gratefully received.

Stupid question possibly?.

Im away from work at meetings so sat like a sad person reading the the online instructions for the Fluke 1664. Cannot find anywhere about rechargeable or recharging the batteries. My old meters had a plug in recharger, is this something that Flukes do not have ?.

and if not how power hungry are they? Do i need to keep a spare set of batteries

I got a Fluke last year, it's rebadged as an Amprobe (red), it's a decent enough bit of kit for me, but then again I don't need all this carp about ticks and crosses, or red and green lights to tell me if it's a pass or a fail.
