I did try and just push the cable through, but it couldn't make the bend... It was difficult enough getting my fish through it

TBH credit to you that does not look too bad, the one that I saw was flat in comparison!

How difficult was it to get the spring out?

Really easy tbh,,,, this might be slightly thinner walled than normal as this piece has been an sleeve for my 16mm 1m SDS bit

might make a difference if you use normal conduit Vs high impact  ?

Yet I know,,, its the tightest angle that it would hold, it would go tighter if held, but then the vertical plane in the bend started to narrow down

No, I just bent it over my knee from cold.... Its still in the van now, what angle do you recon it'll be in the morning

Might have another go with a bit of "new" and see how that goes

Thats why I posted that pic....

Whilst doing this I do realise that these bends are far tighter than the recommended bending radius of 2.5 x od

I also had to stretch my spring out of it... no damage though

Thinking about this whilst the installer has done a tight acute bend similar to that which Noz has done, it could be possible to do an acute bend suitably as long as you kept the bend radius of as Noz says 2.5xD.

So 2.5xD = 2.5x20 = 50mm radius, so an acute 30 degree bend around a former of 100mm diameter, "should" be OK?...
