Evening all,

I'm just finishing off some paperwork and I'm struggling to find the appropriate BS number for a series of MCB's. They are the Wylex MCB's that plug into the old BS3036 semi-enclosed bases.

Any suggestions?

Paul

some are bs 3871, I've found the ones with the push button and colour coded switches are mainly 3871, and newer round edged with black switches are 60898

Look close on the picture here

http://www.tlc-direct.co.uk/Products/WYB6.html

The newer type lever switch ones are BSEN60898

AND 3kA

but there are some older lever type that are BS3871 as are the push buttons...

The lower A ratings are generally easy to suss out..

i.e.

5A button or lever are BS3871

6A lever is BSEN60898

15A button or lever are BS3871

16A lever is BSEN60898

30A button or lever are BS3871

32A lever is BSEN60898

Its the 20A, 40A & 45A wots a bit more of a sod to work out..
