Outside light....

There are a multiplicity of ways to wire a spur from the ring to a light. Generally a switched spur as a switch fed light switch then on to the light is easiest for an outside light, but different circumstances may mean different choices.
For outside cabling generally black cables have the best UV resistance, T&E and white flex are generally not good choices. You need to consider if the cable needs protection from physical damage when hi tuff (limited protection but better than black flex), or SWA may be suitable if not then black flex might be OK. H07RNF is often specified as good as it is water resistant (more than H05RR or PVC) but is a bit thick to terminate in some lights, rather like hi tuff, but in dry, non damaging conditions most black cables are OK.
If you are fused down to 3 or 5 amps then 1mm² cable is OK for the load.
An SFCU will have terminals for the neutral and ideally will have double pole switching (handy to isolate an outside light completely when there is a fault on the ring).
