No seriously im not trolling even andy is agreeing now.
The dno are powerful mate they know what devices you are using by the smart meter thats why its called smart meter.
Gas smart meters can also monitor the amount of carbon diaxiode in the property and notify if its not safe and there is a leak

i agree meters can notify of power failure. everything else of yours is BS. gas meters also don't care about cabron dioxide. if anything they would be monitoring carbon monoxide. but they don't monitor anything. just gas flow / volume. maybe pressure too
