Welcome to the forum. An apprentice and 8 grand - sounds attractive to the Scots 
I'll have twenty apprentices at that rate - 1 to hold the ladder, 1 to hold the screw, 1 to hold the screwdiver.......and 1 making tea all day:^O

He will be at college from 18th August for 4-5 weeks.
