I am looking to buy a new laptop for work purposes only, need to run basic word, excel etc and electrical software currently running Amtech. Only really want a 15
New Laptop, Any ideas ?

I can charge in van via inverter, or when iam on site using the charger ?

My daughter has a Samsung netbook
They have a HDD, some even have Flash drives (no moving parts), but if you want a DVD drive then it has to be USB!

but will let you know next week about running software,
Amtech runs fine under ubuntu,
not so sure about easycert, this could make or break my review on them TBH, and also the firm, as their customer service left a lot to be desired.

I bought a new laptop recently, decided what i wanted and had a look round for deals, by far the best deal was ebuyer.com, have a look see mate

Ebuyer do come up with some good deals just bought a few new monitors through them. Last computer came from cosco they seem a bit cheaper than other places.
e.buyer seem to be one of the few places to sell stuff not already preloaded with bloat-ware
I find laptopsdirect quite good on price and customer service.

i bought this one 6 months ago for 375, its now 299, I have had absolutely no problems with it. I would recommend samsung laptop as it is good value for money, robust and quick operating, also has numeric keypad and wifi.
