I got most of my fitting from screwfix with conduit from Wickes as they sell single lengths (I only needed 3) with bending spring from B&Q for a fiver. I have all 3 within 20 minutes walk away so I am one of the lucky ones :^O

B&Q is about an hour away from my house, at least 45 mins! I mail order where I can. My spring was about

As far as I am aware they never consult anyone that actually has ANY practical experience of INSTALLING anything - only those to whom Installation Practice is a theoretical exercise............

You are probably right, was thinking just that today, struggling with some wall light fittings! Designers who have no practical sense.
